InstantForum.NET 2012 now includes over 80 achievements our the box that your users can earn as they participate in your community. These achievements can be completely customized via the InstantForum.NET Admin CP to suite your community depending on he usage and traffic you expect...

The achievements work in a similar way to other popular systems such as the xbox achievements system.
As an administrator you can create two types of achievement. Automatic achievements which are awarded automatically by the forum when a user reaches a specific milestones. For example posting 10 topics or liking 10 posts.
You can also create manual achievements which can be associated with individual members through the InstantForum.NET Admin CP . For example if you offer a webinar or meet-up and your community members attend you may wish to recognize this by creating a unique achievement for those special members within your community.
Whilst achievements work separately from reputation achievements do tie into the new reputation system within InstantForum.NET 2012. As an administrator you can define for example if additional bonus reputation points are awarded to users as they earn particular achievements.
There are three achievement levels. Bronze, Silver and Gold. This allows you offer mutiple levels of the same achievement but with varying milestone thresholds. For example you may offer a Bronze achievement If a user visits your forum 10 times, a silver achievement if they visit 50 times and a Gold achievement If they visit 100 times.
You can also disable achievements if for example you don't want to award a particular achievement any longer but wish to keep the achievement for users who have already earnt.
Of course you don't need to worry to much about this unless you which to customize and create your own achievements. We have over 80 different achievements that will ship out the box with 2012 and we will be adding more as we continue to release updates through 2012.
Users can easily view achievemtns they have been awarded via there profile page...

Achievements are also displayed within user cards...

The goal of the achievement system is of course to encourage your users to participate more in your community and to recognize them for the time and effort they spend helping within your community., It's also a great way for people just consuming content to see who they can trust in your community.
Kindest Regards,
