I've just stumbled accross the URL Rewrite file, and worked out whats its doing which is indeed nicer for search engines.
However is it posible to take it one step further and do a similar thing to most blogging software or phpBB vBulletin.
For example;
I have a topic called 'The price of milk'
Existing rewrite would be something like 'Topic56-33-1.aspx'
But it would be great to have something like '2006/03/the_price_of_milk/' (ie date followed by topic title)
Is this posible?
