Also, what file to I edit to remove the branded instantasp stuff?

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

I made a custom wrapper and its coming up on all the forums I made but its not coming up on the main forum page.

I have looked over the admin and cannot figure out how I can get the wrapper to show up on the header on the main forum page link it does on all the forums I added.

Are there any more skins that I can download? I just purchased the script a few days ago and was hoping there are more skins to download or would I have to edit the css file to change colors.

I would also like to add the bottom two tables on the forum which has whats below to the wrapper which everything thats below would be next to my site logo which at this time has a lot of white space to the right of the logo.

You can see what I mean by going to the forum and then clicking on any forum there. http://forum.recipmanager.com/

Any help on this would also be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't look like your forum is running at all right now. You can always add code to the header and footer in the skin files.

We had a little trouble with the IIS but its up now.

I was able to edit the Skins/Classic/MasterTemplate/MasterTemplate.ascx as well as Skins/LiquidViolet/MasterTemplate/MasterTemplate.ascx which worked.

What I would like to do is to have the links just below the logo which has all those site links up next to the logo on the right and then have those two table removed since all that info would be next to the logo.

This is our first site in ASP.NET so everything is a lot confusing. We manage over 40 domains on a Linux server and dont have a problem editing PHP scripts but this script is totally new to us.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, what file do I edit to remove the branding stuff.

You can remove the Powered by via InstantASP.InstantForum.UI > Helpers > Copyright.vb

It's in the Message function.

I don't think you can remove it without having the developer version and rebuilding the application.

I dont have the developers version but I do have that file.

Hey Carlos or anyone at Instantasp... can you tell me if I allowed to remove the branding on our forum.

The reason I ask is because of the footer that I would like to put at the site would look very strange having the branding over top the footer if you know what I mean.

Please let me know if I can remove it or how I can remove it and add it to the footer so the site looks a lot better than having the footer below the branding.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that InstantASP prefers the branding be left in the footer... BUT it also stated that it can be removed.  Obviously, this will have to be confirmed by Carlos or Ryan.

Hi Bare,

Thanks for making that post. I did read what John T posted but what I have in my footer is very different from what he posted.

I made a post to John T asking him what I should replace since what he post is different than what I have in my footer.

Thanks for the post.
