| We recently recompiled the Admin interface in a second instance of the knowledgebase to display only Pending Questions, Article Control, Comment Control, Support Centers, and Finished?. Since then, I get the following errors. "Error writing to exception log to "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\KB\Logging\ExceptionLog.config". Please ensure the directory indicated above exists and that the [MACHINENAME\ASPNET] or [MACHINENAME\NETWORKSERVICE] anonymous web account has write and modify access to this directory.
Stack Trace: Access to the path "c:\inetpub\wwwroot\KB\Logging\ExceptionLog.config" is denied." this is when I try to add an attachment in the new instance. The old, full admin console instance works fine, so I assume I failed to change something in the .aspx or config files. Any idea what? The second error is simply 'unexpected error', which I get when attempting to add a .jpg file to an article in the editor. Both work in the full admin instance. Thanks. | Never mind. I found the problem. The IIS service account did not have Modify permissions to the \attachments directory in the new instance. I changed the permissions and it resolved both issues immediately, Chris Wright Constellation Energy
