Hi all,

Firstly, apologies if this has been covered elsewhere: I've searched but couldn't find any other topics about this.

I'm using 4.1.3, and I'm having trouble editing the Terms and Conditions within Resource.xml. Every time I try and add my own, the forum stops working properly. The front end loses a lot of functionality, including all the panels, etc.

I've edited other items within Resource.xml, and it's been fine...can anyone help?

Thanks,

Narkus

Dear Narkus,

Could you please post here your Resource.xml file and the text you're trying to replace?

Hi Carlos,

I'm trying to edit is within the TermsAndConditionsForm.ascx section of Resources.xml, line 1517. The problems occur when I try and paste in our own T&Cs (which are, admittedly, very long). Is there a character limit for that line?

I've included Resources.xml as an attachment, although it's not the version with our T&Cs pasted in. I can include this if necessary.

Thanks,

Narkus

Dear Narkus,

I've changed your Resources.xml file adding the same text many times to make it very long... and couldn't find any problem on it...  I've attached the Resources.xml file modified.

Carlos,

Just to let you know, I solved the issue with this: it was because our terms and conditions had a '&' character in them, which I needed to change to html code to make it work.

Thanks,

Narkus
