| Hello, I just upgraded my IF from 4.1.3 to 4.1.4, all went flawless. I was just clicking around a bit in 4.1.4 when I got an error message, after clicking on the (new) Mod Queue: The following error occurred... Sorry the application encountered an unexpected error. Information about this error has been logged. If you continue to receive this message please contact the board administrator. At that point I also noticed I'm no longer logged in, but it displays Guest and the Login link. When I click Login, I enter my user info (tick the Remember me option) and hit the Login button. The page reloads but I'm not logged in (Guest is displayed again). When closing the browser and returning to the forum via the url, I'm still logged out. After logging in again, the login works. The user I tried this with is a Forum Member, Moderator and Administrator. What may be useful information, I don't use moderation of posts. So that could be the cause. For me, this is absolutely no problem, since I won't use this option, but I figured I'd just let you know. If you need any more information, let me know. Best regards, Leon

| Hi Leon, Hope your well. Sorry to hear your having some problems. I suspect this a more an issue with the upgrade. Would it be possible for us to access your install via FTP to ensure all the files have been updated. If we can confirm this and the error continues it will require a little more investigation. If FTP access is not possible i would suggest just double checking you've added the new moderation .aspx and .ascx files... [INSTALLDIR]\Moderation.aspx [INSTALLDIR]\Skins\[SKINNAME]\Moderation.ascx [INSTALLDIR]\Skins\[SKINNAME]\Controls\ModerationSearchOptions.ascx...and also double check you've replaced all updated v4.1.3 files with the latest versions. The updated files are listed within our documentation which i suspect you've already followed... http://docs.instantasp.com/InstantForum/default.html?page=v413tov414guide.html I hope this helps a little. I'll keep a close eye on this and see if others have any issues. If you have any further questions Leon don't hesitate to respond

| Hi Ryan, Thanks for your quick reply. This really isn't a problem for me, I just noticed it and thought I'd let you know. I'll send you the login details via PM. I used the document you mentioned to upgrade, and to the best of my knowledge I did replace all the files mentioned in it. I'll double check to be sure anyway! Best regards, Leon

| Actually Leon could you quickly check the new files have the correct permissions. We have a similar problem when updating our own forums and as we had used the zipped version and did not install the new files directly into the wwwroot directory using the MSI we had to ensure the Moderation.aspx file had read permission for the IUSR\MachineName account. Also depending on your settings you may be logging the error to your email or to the Exceptions.Config file within the root. This should provide a little more information on the error. I suspect it's permissions. This only appeared to affect Moderation.aspx within the root. Please let me know if this helps,

| Hi Ryan, The 'problem' is solved. Somehow I overlooked section 2 of the upgrade docs (yes, *bump*), so those 3 files weren't copied. It's working perfectly now! Best regards, Leon
