Hello

there should be an option to login with username and not just with the e-mail adress

You can have your users login with either username or e-mail address. To make the selection login as admin, select Admin CP, select Manage Settings, select Login & Registration Settings, toward the bottom look for "Login Options". Look for "Login Using". There is a dropdown to select either Username or Email Address.
