Just a wild idea that will test my other post's theory:

The code is setting expiration date on the cookie of Now.AddMinutes(session timeout). Now is relative to the server not the client right? how would the cookie know to adjust it to the client's time?

Go to InstantASP.Common/Authentication/Authentication.vb line 129

Comment the else statement:

'authCookie.Expires = System.DateTime.Now.AddMinutes(InstantASP.Common.Configuration.AppSettings.SessionTimeOut)

Recompile and give it a shot

Did you try this solution?

Ryan,

I'm now experiencing this issue as well...  When I log in (with 'remember me' checked) I still get logged out after the set duration. (This is on RC2)

Is this issue being looked at...  I really don't want to modify the coding as suggested within this thread.

This is happening on 3 testing RC2 installations that I have going.

Thanks...

P.S. Allan -- Have you resolved this issue?

Hi All,

Just wondering if this problem persists? Bare seems to have now resolved this however i'm keen to determine if this is a genuine forum related issue.

Any further comments are certainly appreciated

Hi Allan,

Hope your well. I'm looking further into this issue.

I've asked before however could you tell me if your still experiencing this behaviour. Also i notice your running an early RC release would it be possible to update to the latest release candidate. Who would be the contact for upgrading at TweakXP?

My users are experiencing this as well. I sometimes do but can't put my finger on what I did before to make it happen (I am not removing cookies or anything like that...)
