We are using version InstantForum.NET v4.1.4 © 2008

I've recently noticed that all uploaded images are showing as broken links as avatars and in signatures. .jpeg is an allowed type in "Manage attachement types"

Other uploads  seem fine .pdfs and the like

Any ideas?

I would check the file permissions on the image folders where the actual files are stored, it sounds like they dont have read permissions for the IIS Guest Account(s)
