Ive seen it on other boards and should be too much to pull it off but Id like to see a mechanism where you can set a topic/message so that its title and link appear at the top (below the login area and above the regular content) so that no matter what area a user is in. An important update or notice would literally be IN THIER FACE.
To spur on subscribers I created a topic with some give aways... and since its an announcement, no replies it quickly falls off the radar. This would allow me to "feature" it prominently.

Added a stickynote.ascx file to the mix which is pretty static right now but could be the basis for such a beast. I added it to the logon.aspx page of my site and used the sticky note css settings to format it. If you'd like to see how that looks, visit. http://www.paratrooper.net/commo/logon.aspx I added a switch in the web.config that allows for it to be turned on and off as well as I work towards automating it.

Hi Mark, Looking good - i'm hoping this will be dynamic soon with the ability to indicate which topics should appear within an announcement type list - this is a great suggestion - the more i look around the more boards i find that support similar
