Hi, I was very intrigued with your forums for use with my site i'm currently developing. The site is built on the IBuySpy Portal. I have read in earlier posts of users attempting to integrate the IBS Portal with your forums. Have you heard of any progress? Like the others, my goals are: - Use a single sign in for both the site and forums
- Access the InstantForum through a tab in the IBuySpy portal
Any help on how this could be done would be greatly appreciated. And it would make me a customer as well. Thanks, James

Hi James, Thank you for your interest in InstantForum.NET. Unfortunately i've not heard from the other people who offered to originally integrate InstantForum.NET into the IBS portal This is very unfortunate and has made me a little cautious providing free copies of the software again. However in the interest of progressing the forums I'm still interested in offering genuine developers with a site based on the IBS portal a chance to integrate InstantForum.NET into IBS providing i can guarantee comments and feedback during the integration process. As you can imagine its hard to enforce such a guarantee but your proposal would certainly be favorable if you already have a live site based on the IBS framework. Can you provide a URL ? Are you looking to integrate the forums right away or will this be in several months ? Your feedback would be appreciated. As i say i'd love to provide the software free of charge to genuine IBS developers - I've just had my fingers burnt to many times and must try to protect myself somehow
 Kindest Regards,
Ryan Healey Director / Developer

I am hoping to integrate before I make the site "live". It's currently up and running, but at a temporary url until I set everything up and add content. http://jmdormer.com/portalvbvs/ Honestly, I was hoping someone had been successful with integrating the two...I was not looking for free software. This is my first project in asp.net, but I would be willing to attempt the integration myself. I understand you being cautious after earlier events and it is totally up to you. If I were to work on this, I'd gladly keep you updated. Infact, I wouldn't mind any guidance/suggestions you can offer to me. Let me know either way. James

Hi Ryan,
I may be the person you are looking for - to perform the integration. I have taken the IBS portal and advanced it quite far from most. I have developed what is to be a complete company portal. My intention was to keep it for my own company but it may turn out that I will sell it online as well. I am nearly finished - but I was frustrated with the poor quality of Forums available - apart from the ASP.NET Forum - (I just stumbled across yours today...) and was expecting to accept the C# and push through the next version due out shortly. The integration is key - to the portal - which I will spend the next 2 weeks after the release of 1.5 (I do know that 1.5 will offer some hooks - but they are masked). If you want - I would be more than glad seriously look at doing the same with yours - as VB.NET is more comfortable with me. If I choose to use yours - which is very possible - I will have to mod it to work with the multiple portals. I then will submit the changes back to you for your community. I have listed my website below for you to see - please understand, no content has been added - the forum user table will dictate the registration properties (which I am working around currently)... Plus I am literally in the middle of wrapping up what is to be the full featured shopping cart/product catalog - changes appear daily until I release my product. Regards, Dave www.logikonline.com
I was the original, single developer, who created the entire Microchip (www.microchip.com) online presence from 1996-2001 (and published 1.2 million CDs globally). Microchip currently uses my software and I have written 5 books (4 on Java, the 2nd ever published on the subject.) I will not distribute your source and will pay if you do not feel I have treated you fairly.
