Consider adding the ability for moderators to move topics from one forum to another. Many times when moderating forums, you find that people are making posts in the wrong places. Besides just deleting and editing topics, having the ability to move topics to their proper location is a necessity for well organized forums.

Where is it, if you don't mind me asking? I don't see it in the Moderator CP in Manage Posts., and I don't see it as an option anywhere while navigating the actual topic thread.

Here is some text from a previous post:The Forum Moderators is just a permission group defining the listed permissions for a particular set of users. Placing a user in the Forum Moderator group, does NOT make them a moderator of anything. The fact that the permission group is called Forum Moderators is essentially meaningless. They may have the ability to edit other's posts or delete them, but that isn't part of the moderation. You have to add the user as a moderator to the particular forum itself. When you add them there are addition permissions for things like moving posts and mass deletes that have to be turned on. In other words, you can be a true moderator and belong to ANY permission group set. To tell if you are actually a moderator look at the bottom of the individual posts or forums and it will list the moderators. When are a Moderatorm, you will be able to move & delete (and more) while viewing the forum.. there are selection check boxes at the right of the forum & dropdown menus below, to choose the function you'd like to perform, on the selected items. I hope this helps

| Hello, I'd like to move an individual (off topic) post to another (new) topic, and I'm having trouble locating the 'move' function... Running IF 4.1.4. I checked the moderator options, as advised in this thread: I am moderator (added as moderator to the specific (sub)forum, and all moderator options are set to 'yes'). I see the checkboxes next to individual posts, and the selection-dropdownlist. This gives me the options approve, queue, delete. Am I overlooking something here...?

Thanks for any help! Leon If you have the correct permissions, you should have another drop down on the LEFT across from that one that has various WITH THIS TOPIC options. Move is one of them.

Leon Oh, there is none that I am aware of. You can move whole topics, but not individual posts. Good one for the future release list.
