| Am new to InstantForum 4.0 Am wanting to edit the EMAILS.XML so that the email sent to subscribed users for a forum or topic in addition to receiving the [TopicURL] also receive the following in the email notification: 1. name of user who posted 2. Subject of post 3. Message of post Anyone know where I find listed in the documentation which tags equal to these so I would know what to edit the EMAILS.XML file with? Or if not documented, where I go to find these, or what the tags should be?

If you go into the Admin CP and click on 'New Bulk Message', there are some quick tags listed at the bottom of that page...
I don't know if this is a complete list, but hopefully you'll find what you need.

| Thanks Bare Unfortunately the quick tags listed there just refer to the email recipient. It doesn't list any tags related to the forum, the topic, the user who posted, or the message body. I've got a ticket into InstantASP support as been trying to squeeze some information from them, but have not yet received a coherent reply. Anyone else know where I can find listed what tags can be used that equal to the forum, the topic, the user who posted, and the message body that the recipient is getting notified about.

| For those that may also be needing this, a list of tags for use in the Emails.xml file are below. Problem I have found though, if use the [ForumName], it just shows that - [ForumName] - it doesn't actually show the actual forum name. Ideas? Is there another context I would need to put it in [DateStamp] [ApplicationUrl] [Message] [Subject] [ApplicationName] [ApplicationEmailAddress] [RecipientUserID] [RecipientUsername] [RecipientEmailAddress] [RecipientTotalVisits] [RecipientPassword] [RecipientConfirmationCode] [RecipientConfirmationURL] [PathsAdminEditReceipient] [SenderUserID] [SenderUsername] [SenderEmailAddress] [PathsAdminEditSender] [ForumName] [ForumURL] [PostID] [TopicID] [TopicTitle] [TopicMessage] [TopicURL] [PrivateMessageTitle] [PrivateMessageURL] [PathsHomepage] [PathsLoginURL] [PathsSendValidationCode] [PathsForgotPassword] [PathsTopicSubscriptions] [PathsForumSubscriptions] [PathsForumEmailSettings]

| Dear Joyce, Could you please open an issue in our ticket system at my.instantasp.co.uk and provide a link to your application? That way we would be better able to address your problem.

| Hey Carlos. I did open a ticket a few days ago and was provided with a replacement dll which addressed the issue with use of [ForumName] in Emails.xml. Didn't post it here as was informed not to as you guys will be releasing an update to 4.1 with all the bug fixes in the new dll's. I also have another ticket re-opened in My Profile regarding other issues that am waiting on a reply. thanks for replying to this.
