I have already upgraded to 4.1 version. Some issues written bellow existed in 4.0 and some are new to 4.1.

1. If you disable Can mass delete topics? and Can mass delete posts? a moderator can not delete a post or a topic even if he has permissions to do that.

2. Can edit any topic? the text is simply gone, the tick box is still there.

3. When you go to Manage Moderator -> Edit Forum Moderator -> and deselect all the forums in Forum(s) to moderate list, effectively thinking of something like deleting the moderator functionality for that member -> after clicking Submit, you end up with that member being a moderator for all the forums.

4. All the settings are set to false each time you set-up a new moderator. It would be good if the application would remember your last moderator settings you had used.

add 1) interesting as well that with this setup a moderator can delete message in other forums but not in the ones he is moderating.

Hi Robert,

Many thanks for your post. I've answered your questions below.

1. If you disable Can mass delete topics? and Can mass delete posts? a moderator can not delete a post or a topic even if he has permissions to do that.

This has now been resolved and will be available as part of a v4.1.1 release. If a moderator cannot delete a topic or post within a moderated forum the permission set permissions will now be used.

2. Can edit any topic? the text is simply gone, the tick box is still there.

Could you try replacing the Resources.xml file within the language pack folder.

3. When you go to Manage Moderator -> Edit Forum Moderator -> and deselect all the forums in Forum(s) to moderate list, effectively thinking of something like deleting the moderator functionality for that member -> after clicking Submit, you end up with that member being a moderator for all the forums.

This is by design to allow users to automatically assoicate moderators with all forums if no single forum is selected. You can delete moderators from single forums using the checkboxes or delete buttons within the Manage Moderators page. We will be looking at ways to further improve moderation association within future releases.

4. All the settings are set to false each time you set-up a new moderator. It would be good if the application would remember your last moderator settings you had used.

Nice suggestion. This has been added to our defect and feature tracking software for an early v4.x release.

If you can't wait for v4.1.1 i've attached to this post the code updated to accomodate issue #1 above. You will need the developer license to apply this code.

I hope this helps.

First, thank you for all the help.

I am looking forward to the 4.1.1 version.

Replacing content in the Resources.xml file in the language directory solved the missing text.

Pleasure

Replacing content in the Resources.xml file in the language directory solved the missing text.

Sorry about that. Our v4.0 to v4.1 online documentation has been updated to include the Resources.xml file.

We look forward to sending v4.1.1.

Hi Robert,

Just to confirm this should now be resolved within v4.1.1. I'll shortly move this topic to the closed issues forum if you don't have any objections.
