What we have proposed to InstantASP is adding two fields to the general settings on the forum to manage the functionality of redirecting a member to another page based on a date when they last accessed the forums.  Add a date field and a redirect field to hold the page to send the member to.

If you enter a date of 11-05-2005 and a URL of http://www.forumhome.com (URL as an example only) in the system, then any member who has not logged into the forum since 11-05-2005 the user would be redirected to www.forumhome.com.

The key is that member's Remember Me settings are not reset using this method.  The user is momentarily taken to the homepage for the forums, then, after they have clicked on the forums link, they are taken to the forums without logging in again.

The developers of the forum suggested I post the idea to see if there are others who would like to see this feature added.  What do you think of the idea?
