Okay...forgive me for being a newbie doing this. I purchased this yesterday thinking that I could easily use it on my website. I have (or can have) a MS SQL database with my hosting service. I tried installing the InstantForum on my computer, then uploading the individual files...which didn't work.

What am I either not doing or doing wrong?

Could you describe in more details your problem?  Does an error occur when you try to upload a file?
The anonymous internet user account (usually named IUSR_MachineName, where MachineName is the name of the computer you are hosting the application on) needs to have read, read & execute, and list folder contents permissions on the root folder and all items within.
You must also have the virtual directory configured to allow anonymous access in IIS.
The ASP.NET worker process account (usually ASPNET) need to have the same permissions as the anonymous internet user account.
It should also have Modify permission to the Attachments folder.

I am trying to install the forum onto a GoDaddy server. I have everything setup except for the IIS settings that require the folder to be configured as a Web application. I have written GoDaddy, and I'm waiting for a reply, but does anyone know any way around this?
