A dropdownlist maybe better i'll certainly look at this for the next release also

Awesome - It would also be nice if you could search on a particular Article Type on the search page. Seems like this would make having article types more useful.

Thanks for the replies but I think I wasn't clear enough. Of course I can go dig into the code and add new items but I was looking for the administrator to have the option to be able to add or change articles types from the web interface. Since the knowledge base has a such a large variety of uses, it would be helpful for the end-user, the adminstrator of the KB to tailor articles types to their needs and add new types when needed. Does this make sense now? As of right now I dont see a place in the admin section where they have this control.

Please ensure the options in editarticle match the options in newarticle

Hi Carl,

You can at the moment with both the end user license and the developers license. Simply add your new items to the dropdownlists on newarticle.aspx and editarticle.aspx - hope this helps

It would be nice if the Administrator could add their own article types to better suit their needs. Just a small request.
