Limiting topic description lenght

The information placed in this field seems to have no limit on my forum. We therefore have people who tend to post too long descriptions in this field. I may have missed it, but is there a place in the setup to limit the amount of characters in this field?

I am working with an end user license so I hope it would not require code access which may not be accessable to me.
