In fact it happend with your PM today.

To reproduce:

1. Receive new PM email

2. Click on Link in email

3. Site opens in new browser window

4. You get the New PM Popup prior to the page loading and click OK

5. The page loads and you get the general Control Panel Main Page where it lists your Buddy's and such

6. No new PM is shown, either a straight link or the PM itself.

7. The Inbox link is NOT in bold and the pm count is always (0/x)

8. You then have to click on the Inbox link to get to the PM, also the link to the PM is not in bold either

If after all this you close the browser down and go back to the PM email you got and click the link, you are taken directly to the PM itself

RE: Weird Read/Unread PM issue

Well, chalk this one up as an ID-10-T error. The problem was that the maximum number of recipients was set to 0 in the permission sets. (We had misread thinking that 0 would set it to unlimited recipients versus no recipients.)

RE: Weird Read/Unread PM issue

We are also have trouble with the PMs. When members (even admins) attempt to reply to Private Messages it returns the following error: "There was a problem submitting the form. Please ensure you have provided all required fields. If this problem persists please contact the administrator." This is despite the fact that all fields are filled in.

Weird Read/Unread PM issue

This seems to have just started in the past week or so.

When I get an email that I have been sent a PM, I proceed to click on the link in the email. The site opens in IE, and I immediately get the pop-up message that I have unread PM's. I click OK and the page finishes loading. BUT, for some reason all the PM's are marked as read. There are no PM's in the unread section (on the Account Summary which you are defaulted to by clicking on the link in the email) and the Inbox counter says 0/20 or whatever, but never any unread messages. You then have to click on the Inbox link in order see the message that should be unread, but its marked as read.

I've also noticed that if you go back afterwards and click on the link in the email you are taken directly to the message. So apparently it defaults to the account summary page, with the unread message section, if the messages are unread. This makes it seem like part of the system thinks the messages are unread and part of the system doesn't.

Anyone else notice this? This is all with RC1 btw.
