Well spotted. This also occurs with permission set custom error messages. This has since been resolved and will be available within v4.1 due within the next day or two.

I've also noticed that as long as you leave at least one character, even if it is a space, than you can delete the previously edited description. But once you have entered a description for a forum in 4.0, you are forced to have something there.

If you create a forum with a description, and then later go back and try and delete the description, when you hit submit the description returns. Updating the description works normally, just not deleting the whole thing. I tried deleting the text in both the Designa and HTML view so there are not any stray HTML tags causing this.
