I found out that the problem disapears if I choose the default 4.0 skin instead of my customized one (from version RC3).

During upgrading from RC3 to 4.0 final version I have upgraded database with SQL scripts and installed the 4.0 code, but I have forgot to check if the changes to my customized skin have been applied properly.

Therefore I created a new skin (copied from the default skin supplied by the 4.0 final version) and manually reapplied all the changes to the new skin - a bit tedious process, but I don't know a better one.

Robert

RE: Manage Member Groups - Crash

Hi Roobce,

Many thanks for your post. (also do the same in the post about your calendar issue).

Also I saw in a previous post of yours that you mention some modifications you made during the RC phase. What specific areas/code files did you modify? Just need to make sure it isn't some weird side effect.

Manage Member Groups - Crash

Clicking on the "Manage Member Groups" while in the Administrative Console creates crash...
--------------------------------
NET Runtime version: 1.1.4322.2300
Application Domain: /LM/W3SVC/1/Root/Forums-1-127694171144843750
Assembly Codebase: D:/Inetpub/wwwroot/InstantForum40/bin/InstantASP.InstantForum.UI.DLL
Assembly Full Name: InstantASP.InstantForum.UI, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null
Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0
Assembly Build Date: 12/08/2005 13:39:32

Exception Type: System.NullReferenceException
Exception Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Exception Source: InstantASP.InstantForum.UI
Exception Target Site: ctlUserRoles_OnItemDataBound
----------------------------------

The other parts of "Members & Groups" are working fine.

I would appreciate a solution or clues what to check further so I can better nail down the problem.

Robert
