We don't do this on the front-end as it was deemed potentially confusing if average forum users don't understand the concept of the secondary member groups used to control forum access. You can imagine the scenario where a user selects the G2 secondary group but members show as listed within the Primary Forum Member group.

Once way to make this obvious would be to display a complete list of secondary member groups next to each member within the member list. This may cause problems when trying to display lots of secondary member groups. A DHTML tooltip or model window feature would be nice to display all secondary groups and to ensure it's does not effect the visual appearence of the member list. Displaying all the secondary member groups next to each member i'm sure would impact performance.

I think we'll need to discuss and review this further. I'd certainly appreciate any additional comments. We are always open to suggestions, great suggestions will be short listed for inclusion within future releases.
Actually we would very much like to have a possibility to display which user have access to which forums - for example when you are inside a forum a click on the member list should first give a list of all members who have access to that forum.
Very nice suggestion. I'll see what we can do. Could you post any further suggestions each within a single topic to the Suggestions & Requests forum. This will make it easier to ensure we review your suggestion for inclusion during future development.

I hope this helps a little. I look forward to any response.

RE: View Secondary Member Group Members

Might be fine for admins but I wouldnt want it for the public viewers or if this was a public thing you'd have to make a group visible or invisible for sub groups as well because in my case there are little groups that people are a part of that Id rather not let others know even exists.

View Secondary Member Group Members

When you click on the link "Members" (top forum menu) you get the list of all members.

At the bottom of the results page is a search box. Instead of "All Member Groups" you can also select a single member group to narrow a search to a group of members.

It seems this is working only on a Primary Member Group membership.

So If Joe Doe gas:

Primary Member Group - Forum Member

Secondary Member Groups - G1, G2, G2

then Joe Doe will only show up on "Forum Member" group list and never on a "G1", "G2"or "G3" group list - which is not the correct information about the user.

Actually we would very much like to have a possibility to display which user have access to which forums - for example when you are inside a forum a click on the member list should first give a list of all members who have access to that forum.

Robert
