I've made the required changed in the admin to the permissons sets.</P><P>This works fine when using the image button in the toolbar in IE. It brings up a dialog box that then downloads and resizes the external image. However if you put in IFCode such as [img]url goes here[/img] the download and resizing is bypassed...</P><P>So i resorted to turning off IFCode. In IE the image button still works and downloads/resizes the image.</P><P>In mozilla browsers (eg Firefox), clicking on the image button brings up a javascript dialog instead and putting in the url just inserts IFCode into the textbox.
