I had to translate my forum to swedish before vacation but now it's cool. Now I can concentrate on other issus like hiding some buttons and panels, making new buttons, changing colors, lines, wrapper etc

RE: Swedish translation

Kanon Mats. Jag har lagt in dina filer och kommer testa dem inom kort lite mer utförligt. Ser dock fint ut vid första anblicken.

/Anders

RE: Swedish translation

I have now finished a translated skin that I have called ClassicSE since it is just a copy of the original Classic skin included with the forum but with the buttons with English text exchanged for new ones with Swedish text and an updated "Skin.xml" file.
Together with my Swedish translation this should make for a complete solution for anyone wishing to run the forum in a Swedish environment.

Due to the fact that this forum only allows each user 1 MB of storage space I have only added the new images and the "Skin.xml" file to the attached file. What you should do to use the new skin is to:

1. Copy the "Classic" folder in the "Skins" folder of the forums and rename the new folder "ClassicSE".

2. Replace the "Skin.xml" file with the new one included in the attached file.

3. Replace the images in the sub-folder of "ClassicSE" called "Images" with the new files (same names) in the attached file.

Enjoy! :)

Please send me your feed-back through posts on this forum or as a private message through the forum.

Best regards,

 Mats

RE: Swedish translation

I have added a new version once more, now called 0.96 since I was now able to spellcheck my work fully in MS Word. That meant I found some more mistakes in my previous translation where in fact I had forgotten two sentences that remained in English and some words lacked a space between them. I also found that one string in the admin CP was too long to fit nicely thus prompting me to make a 0.96 version from the 0.95.

Now however the chances are really good that the text is more or less "bug free" (well perhaps there is no such thing :P) since at least Word found no more errors in it.

Cheers!

/Mats

Swedish translation

I will start this topic by posting my Swedish translation for Instant.ASP V4.1.4.
I have assigned this release a version number of 0.96 (updated 1 June 2008 from 0.95) since all text is translated as well as the wordlist but not the image buttons. There is now also a Swedish copy of the Classic skin (see replys below).

The included wordlist is extensive thanks to the fine work being performed at: http://www.dsso.se/

The license for the wordlist is specified as "Creative Commons Share Alike 1.0" and defined here: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/sa/1.0/

My translation is open for use and improvements by anyone. Feel free to add new and updated versions to this topic.

As far as I can tell the same goes for the wordlist but then it must be republished under the same license as above i.e. the Creative Commons license.

I have come across a potential bug (not sure if it is caused by the way I sort the wordlist or not) that causes the spellchecker in Instant.ASP not to recognise words that are in the wordlist as correct. Right now a word can be flagged as incorrect but among the suggestions the same word from the wordlist appears. Thus at the moment the wordlist is not much use until someone can find the solution to this problem.

To use the new language, just unpack the "se-SE" folder into the "Globalization" folder next to the "en-US" folder that is there by default.

Hope you like it! :)

/Mats
