Is there a way to disable the control panel link through permissions? under certain member groups I do not want the users to change their username and password.

Trouble sending email

Glosssary item display function in KB articles need improvement

I have a suggestion about the new glossary look up feature for KB articles. It is not "fully" case sensitive and is causing some problems. For example, in the Glossary I have a term defined as "IF" (all caps) that stands for intermediate frequency (just about every electrical engineer or ham radio operator knows what that is, although some don't which is why it is in the glossary). Hi,

I have a knowledge base article which consists of lines like this

0x8001 - Description of 0x8001
0x8002 - Description of 0x8002

etc...

When I use the find function to find the number 8001, the search function does not return any articles.

However when I search for 0x8001 or even x8001 , the search function returns the correct article.

It seems the search function needs minimal one letter ?

Upload Image button is disabled for Troublesooting guides

When creating troubleshooting guides the image upload option is disabled where it used to work in the past in other guides. However if I edit or create a standard KB article or another troubleshooting guide, I can successfully upload an image which I can then use in the problem guide. Where are permissions set for managing image uploads?

KB 2.0.4 crashes IE or just closes it unexpectedly

Since upgrading to 2.0.4 IE is behavely badly. The most reliable method to reproduce the problem is to login, select staffCP, select troublesooting tab and select to edit an existing troubleshooting guide. IE will either just close, or crash with an Microsoft sorry message. This did not happen as regularly in 2.0.3.

Anybody else with a similar issue, or could it just be IE?

Seems to be OK in FF.

InstantKB.NET 2.0 slow to access on first access

Hi,

I have installed InstantKB.NET 2.0 running on a Windows 2003 server with IIS in an active directory domain, when I first navigate to the InstantKB web it takes a very long time to load, up to 1>2 mins but once in it runs fine.

What can I do to try and fix this all other webs running on the same system run fine..

Advanced Search link is broken

If you select the Search link at the very top right hand side of the page, you get the search text box. A subsequent selection of the Advanced Search link in the search text box does absolutely nothing except to close the box.

Clicking on the Advance Search in the search display box in the body knowledge base page actually works.

Exact match search criteria is broken

If I do a KB 2.0 search Search by keywords or phrase using the exact match criteria for the word "Antenna", I get no matches. If I do the same search, but change only the search criteria to All or Any Keywords, it returns a correct search results including an article that has the word "Antenna" (with the capital "A").

Another bug to squash.
