I haven't had a chance to install it myself (hopefully today) but those are the ones I am going to use.

Here they are:

Minimum Requirements

NET Framework Redist v2.0 (http://asp.net/downlods/essential/)
ASP.NET AJAX v1.0 Extensions (http://www.asp.net/ajax/)
SQL Server 2000 / 2005
A solution file is provided for Visual Studio.NET 2005

Local Installation

Unfortunately we don't have a MSI installer available currently. We will of course be providing one with the final release. To install this BETA you'll need to manually configure IIS and run the database script to create the various tables and stored procedures required by InstantKB.NET. IF you have any questions during the installation of run into any problems please don't hesitate to contact us on support@instantasp.co.uk

Extract the WinZip file available from http://my.instantasp.co.uk/MyLicenses.aspx into your desktop.

Open the folder you've just extracted and locate the InstantKB20 directory. You'll need to copy this folder into your web sites home directory. This is typically c:\inetpub\wwwroot\. Once copied it should look like similar c:\inetpub\wwwroot\InstantKB20\

You'll need to now make the InstantKB20 folder a web application within IIS. Open IIS and locate the InstantKB20 folder. Right click the folder within IIS and open the properties dialog for the InstantKB20 folder. Under the Directory tab locate the Application Settings section and click the "Create" button. This will turn the InstantKB20 folder into a IIS web application. Currently we only offer a web based Visual Studio.NET 2005 solution with InstantKB.NET v2.0. This will require a IIS web application for the InstantKB20 folder. With the final release we'll be providing a Visual Studio.NET 2005 file based solution eliminating the need for IIS.

The next step is to setup the SQL Server database tables and stored procedures. Open SQL Server Management Studio and create a new database to host our tables and stored procedures. We'll assume for this example you'll call the database "InstantKB20". Once the database has been created you'll need to open the [INSTALLDIR]\DatabaseScripts\InstantKB20Install.sql script and execute this file against your database. This will create all the tables, stored prcedures and default data required for InstantKB.NET v2.0.

You should now modify the connection string setting within the web.config file to point to your InstantKB20 database. Typical format is SERVER=lcalhost;UID=sa;PWD=password;DATABASE=InstantKB20
You should now attempt to access InstantKB.NET via your web brower. Typically on http://localhost/InstantKB20/. If everytjomg was siccessful you should see the InstantKB.NET v2.0 homepage.

If you have any problems with the installation process don't hesitate to contact me on ryan@instantasp.co.uk.

Admin & Staff ACcount

To access the staff and adminsitrator control panels please login using the default admin account:

Username: admin@admin.com
Password: admin
Install Instructions

My server's hard drive crashed and I lost everything. I am downloaded the new Beta 4, but do not see any installation instructions/notes in the ZIP file. Where can I find them?
