Hi Ryan,

I just upgraded to 2.0.4, but I still cannot search only numbers. Did this not make it in the updates ?

Hi Geert,

Hope your very well. Your quite right.

If you provide only numbers within the InstantKB.NET search with no letters it will actually only search for articles with that article ID. This allows you to quickly locate content by article id through the search however you have a valid suggestion and i can't see any reason why we can't also search the article content alongside the article id to ensure all relevant results are displayed.

I've added this suggestion to the list Geert and you should see this update either in 2.0.3 oe the update after that. Sorry for my delay responding Geert. I hope this information helps and we'll look at making improvements to the search to accommodate this problem.

Hi,

I have a knowledge base article which consists of lines like this

0x8001 - Description of 0x8001
0x8002 - Description of 0x8002

etc...

When I use the find function to find the number 8001, the search function does not return any articles.

However when I search for 0x8001 or even x8001 , the search function returns the correct article.

It seems the search function needs minimal one letter ?

Is there a setting that does this or is it not possible to search for just numbers ?
It did work in the old version (1.3).
