Stop URL's from being converted to absolute URLs?

While overall I love the new Telerik editor,the editor converts URLs to absolute URLs which doesn't work for me. How can I stop this?

find this behavior annoying for images,but it is even worse for anchors.

It makes it impossible to create links in KB articles to anchors within the KB article which is very important to me. For example:

Many of the grid views (e.g. Staff CP - Manage Comments & Admin CP - Manage Members) are set to page at 10 records which is a very small number for my organization. This makes management much more cumbersome than it has to be.

It would be much easier to manage if I could increase this paging limit (e.g. to 50 or even 100 on a grid view) but I can see any way to do this. Is there a config file I could manually edit or is this grid view paging limit hard coded into the page?

Increasing size of uploaded content - swf files

URL Rewriting, Friendly URL's - Missing CSS and Images

Hi,

Just installed InstantKB 2.06 on windows webserver 2008, IIS7, standalone server.

Followed the instructions for using the search engine friendly url's and URL rewriting, which appears to be working fine however none of the CSS or images are now being displayed. When I request the CSS file directly (Which is correctly referenced) I get the message:

Failed to Execute URL.

Should Polling be included in InstantKB

Email Function not working

I submitted a support ticket for this, my ticket support has expired since then but I never received an answer on how to fix the issue.

Changed the web.config as suggested by InstantASP to get the errors when emailing. I submitted the errors to ticket support but did not recieve and answer. This is the error I am getting:

New skin Calendar Popups are transparent

I added a new skin, when using the new skin the popup calendars on the add article page are transparent. I can see the dates and it seems to work properly it just does not look correct. Can anyone tell me what I need to change?

Custom Fields do not show up when viewing an article

I am using a custom field template including some custom fields. When adding an article, I can add content to my custom fields. However, when I view the article after it has been added, the custom fields do not show. If I then edit the artcile they are there with my content. Any ideas?

Managing Comments

1. All comments have to be approved by the admin (including admin posted comments). Is there a way to make specific users/groups able to post comments without the need for approval?
2. Currently the only way I can manage comments is by clicking each custom tab and selecting manage comments. Is there any central location to do this so I don't have to check EACH and EVERY tab when I want to approve comments?

Pictures not included in PDF export

Hi,

Finally got around to installing the new KB v2.0 and cannot get outgoing email to work. I've tried it with my local SMTP server & with an authenticated server. Both are verified to work perfectly.
Turning on the debug option gives me the following message.
Runing 2.0.5
Can anyone help?

Doing a KB search from outside Instant KB

I would like to have a search box form on a page on my website (still in classic .asp) that will search the knowledge base. I would like it to post the search to the search page within Instant KB. Is this doable? I am still on Instant KB 1.x

While MS Ajax Control Toolkit is required it is not compatible with Version 1.0.20229.20821 (I believe this is the latest).

It is only compatible with version 1.0.10201.0, which is the one in the Bin directory.

IE If you have it installed into GAC you may need to have the configured assemblies set up differently.
I have the toolkit installed in the GAC with the Configured Assemblies Reference:

Attachments to file system

I have configured InstantKB to save my attachments to the file system. When I do so, a randomly generated name is created for the file. When I view the article, it is practically impossible to determine "what" the attachment is without opening it.
If a randomly generated filename is mandatory then maybe an optional "Description" could be assigned to the attachment and displayed in the article as well.

Does InstantKB.Net 2.x have wildcard characters for searches?

For example, If I searched for * (or whatever the wildcard character is), the results would contain all KB's. Or, if I search for *ware* or %ware%, the results would show KB's that contain "hardware", "software", etc.

I recently purchased the End-User License for InstantKB 2.0.4. and I am working to customize the interface to suit my employer's needs, but I have found a number of items that do not seem to be customizable. Specfically, I am attempting to customize the look of the PanelBar, utilizing different graphics, but I cannot seem to find a user control file for this item. Is this WebControl non-customizable or am I missing something here?
