InstantKB.NET v1.3 BETA Testers Required

Hi All,

This opportunity is only available to existing InstantASP customers.

We will soon be releasing InstantKB.NET v1.3. This has already been available to a select number of customers for several weeks and we have received very positive feedback.

We are now looking however for individuals who would be prepared to assist with testing the InstantKB.NET v1.2 to InstantKB.NET v1.3 database migration script.

With the release of v1.3 the database schema has undergone some major changes primarily to allow functionality like the ability to associate an article with multiple categories and the ability to now select related articles from an interface as opposed to entering a comma delimited list of article identities.

Because of these changes the database upgrade script is quite complex and actually parses strings from columns previously within the InstantKB_Article table into relational table to setup the many-to-many relationship articles now have with categories.

Any existing customers who wish to participate in the testing of the database update process will be provided with a full source code developer license of InstantKB.NET v1.3.

If your an End User License (EUL) customer this is a great opportunity to assist with the development of the product and also to obtain the full source code free of charge. We will however require EUL customers to participate in this evaluation and we will only issue a full license for your current domain once we receive feedback on the upgrade.

If your a developer license customer and you wish to participate in the testing of database script you will be provided with the full source code and also an unrestricted URL license.

If you would like to take part testing the v1.2 to v1.3 database migration script please email support@instantasp.co.uk. We will send a download link and information on what specifically we are looking for with the testing.

I'm pushing to get InstantKB.NET v1.3 released so we have to limit the time-frame for applicants. This post will be removed on or around Monday 5th July.

Added 15th July. We are no longer accepting BETA testers for the InstantKB.NET v1.3 release.
