| Am I overlooking something? I created a few new avatars (gif format) and when I select them...they don't show in the posts I make. Neither do the supplied ones. Any assistance is appreciated. Any clues?

Please confirm this. I think I answered my problem tonight...I Googled this issue and found an RSS feed covering this. It seems that this issue is skin related, I chose Liquid Violet Skin which apparently doesn't support this avatar functionality. One comment: as a new user of your product any skins provided (in the initial install) should be consistent in the support of the feature set, or the differences should be mentioned somehow....this of course means skins and skin developers need to mention some of the changes taken that affect funtionality and presentation (besides color changes). I blew many hours 'fretting' over this...

| Hi Alan, Many thanks for your post. Sorry to hear you had a few problems. At the moment you will need to ensure your custom avatars appear within each skins avatar folder. This was really to provide support for different avatar packs between skins. I can see your point however and will look at centralizing the avatars into a single directory shared between all skins. I'm not sure this will make it into the next minor release but it's certainly been added to our OnTime defect and feature tracking tool for further review.

| Hi Ryan, Is this fixed in forums version 414? I see that there is no "Uploads" folder in Violet or Classic skin. Its outside of these, but still I cant see avatars on my forums: http://www.notasucker.com/InstantForum414/default.aspx Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks, Vivek
