| The site is crawling and I am seeing the same behavior on my site with the IF software. Can anyone tell us what is going on?

I don't find it that acceptable anymore that we - paid users of the software - have issues if instantASP have issues with their infrastructure
How about an uptime guarantee from InstantASP ...

| Hi David, Thanks for your comments. I'll admit i'm not i understand. We helped (Mark - LineDropper) on Sunday evening and resolved this problem within hours. We did indeed have a problem with the activation server on Sunday. I'm sincerely sorry for any problems or inconvenience this may have caused. The last time we had this issue we implemented a fail-over server unfortunately our hosting provider had network issues. This is very rare. It's happened around twice in the last year. Although our code should handle our licensing server not being available we've learnt in some cases this will cause delays when requesting the forum We are working on making a forum update available and will be moving away from the activation server to a file based licensing system. This will completely resolve this problem. In the meantime should anyone have any problems with this don't hesitate to open a support ticket, prompt me via our live chat feature or contact me on ryan@instantasp.co.uk. We can provide a license file to work around any issues if our activation server is ever down in th I expect to move to a file based licensing system for v4.1.5. We will be providing a hotfix very soon to address some issues before v4.1.5 is available. I'll look at the possibility of implementing file based licensing for the hot fix however this may take a little more time.

| Thanks, Ryan. When do you think the file-based licensing will be available? Its critical for all your paid users to have this. When our site starts having issues, we usually don't think it's the IF activation server until a good amount of troubleshooting happens on our end--waste of time and resources. ...but thanks for switching it to file-based. Can't wait.
