I'd like to remove the ability for all forum users to be able to upload all types of attachment. (tbh not sure why this is useful for most forums?).

Is this possible through the Admin CP? I've looked through a couple of times but can't see an obvious setting?

I'm not sure if this will work but you could try this:

Under the Manage Attachement Type, add new attachement and put the extention ".*"  (without the quotes).

Will give it a whirl and see how I get on.

Altogether removing the attachement feature seems like a preferential functionality really - we're starting a community forum for people to chat - and don't want to have to worry about the occassional few attaching all sorts of nasties!
