Session Variables Disappear

I added instantforum to a running site (www.someplace.com), and created the "FORUM" application in IIS.

When I transfer to my forum page (www.someplace.com\forum), all my session variables are reset.

It seems there are 2 sets of session variables and the forum does not share with my original site and vice versa. Is there a way to force them to do so? I want to access the session variables created on my main site in the forum.

Did you have any joy with this?

Did you follow the documentation and try using the matching machineid encryption and decryption codes in each web.config file.

I did but still not having any joy
