Can we expect a rough time frame if you guys have already started to work on it? Also what improvements and added functionalities can we expect? My apologies for the impatience but I have been looking forward to the next Forum version since last year

| We have no timeframes available at the present time, nor any hard feature lists, although you can expect news on this in the coming weeks, nothing is confirmed as of yet. We have started work on the next version of the forum, which is likely to be more of an update to the existing software, before we start building on new functionality and featuresets, bringing the forum closer in line with KB 2.0 on our new common framework. As I say, nothing is confirmed at present, but I assure you Ryan will be posting news immediately, as soon as it is available, to keep all our customers up to date on what's happening with the forum.
 Kindest Regards,

| James, Is there a roadmap for the forum anywhere available for viewing or discussion?

Hi Eric, No there isnt a roadmap and at present we have no plans to put one out for discussion, as being a small company our featuresets and plans tend to be quite fluid up until the point we announce the version and it's contents. To release our initial plans would create false expectation for our customers, this allows us to reassure customers when we do announce a version, that the announced featureset will be included. Feedback about features you would like to see in a future version is always very welcome, however we cannot promise it will make it into any specific version, but we do pay close attention to customer feedback when developing our products.
 Kindest Regards,

I guess, we will wait for any news form your end.
I do hope you guys have had a chance to look at the new phpbb 3 that came out and will be incorporating some solutions and ideas from them. I'm not trying to single out one company to look at but these days they seem to be the benchmark as they offer a free, open source product. All the Best guys!

We of course keep an eye on all other companies and software in our market area, whilst I wouldnt call PhpBB the standard, they've certainly added a variety of nice features in version 3, what exactly is it that you're looking for or that you really admire in PHPBB3 that you'd like to see in a future version of InstantForum?
