Ryan, hello. I'm going to be purchasing the developer version of the Forum here soon, but as I'm in no rush I was wondering if I should wait until the v3.3 release. I noticed in the ATTN : InstantForum.NET 3.2 Users thread you mention it is due soon. Any estimated timeline for when it will be available?

Looks like you have a great product here. I'm anxious to get it implemented on my site.

Thanks,

-Scott

Hi Scott,

Thank you for your post and kind words. If you can hold out for the moment i would certainly suggest waiting till version 3.3. I'm aiming for the week commencing the 9th February for this release. You can certainly purchase v3.2 and of course as with each upgrade a database script will be provided to ensure you retain any existing data during upgrades.

If you can hold out i would of course suggest holding off however upgrading will not be a problem if you wish to implement something quickly

Hope this helps - all the best

Hi Ryan,

After spending more time on this site yesterday, I found the upgrades within in the same major version are free. So, I'm about to place an order for the forums v3.2 developer so I can get familar with the code and design a central login for my site/forums before v3.3 comes out.

My question is how the software is shipped. When I go to order it says shipment is by email. I got to wondering how big the files are and if my standard Hotmail acct. would be able to handle the large file? Do you send the actual code files thru email, or do you just send a link to an area of your site were I go to download the install from your server?

Thanks,

-Scott

Hi Scott,

Thank you for your post. Your concerns make perfect sense and your quite right minor revisions are totally free. Only large revisions for example 3.x to 4.0 will be charged.

Regarding the method of download i do not send the forums as an attachment to the email but rather a link to a private URL where you can download your purchased product as a ZIP file.

I hope this helps and answers your questions. If you do have any further questions before purchase please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to your response,
