I have the software installed and everything seems to be working OK, with the exception of adding a forum.

The Select Forum Group drop down is empty, even though there are several default groups in the database.

Any ideas?

Hi Steve,

I've just checked this on a fresh 3.4 install and everything appear to be working fine. Did you import the project into VS.NET ? Have you switched between design and code view ? Doing this can sometimes add a AutoEventFireup=False to the page directive of admin/controls/addforum.ascx

If that exists in that file remove that from the main page directive and it should work as normal. I would certainly do a global find and replace if this is the case

I have not touched any code at this point, just ran the install app, configured the remote database and ran the SQL scripts and edited the web.config file settings for our environment.

Anything else I can check?

Would it be possible for you to PM admin details so i can login and test this. I'd like to have a check and confirm everything is correct before getting to deep into technical issues
