I'm not sure if this is there or not...

Is there a way, or can it be configured in the future....

So that when a person has reached the threshold for automatic posting to be allowed (say they have posted 5 posts), that is turn OFF the automatic notification to the moderators?

It seems that it will send the notification anyways.

for a high-volume site (which mine will be) that would be a significant bummer.

Thanx

P.S.  Also, is the post threshold for that one forum or systemwide?

Hi Drew,

Thank you for your email. What you suggest is valid. I'll look into this and determine the cause. This will certainly be resolved within 3.5. Email notifications within moderated forums to the moderators should certainly stop once the user posting has reached the automatic post threshold set by the administrator. I'll look into this further tonight and let you know

Thanks Drew

I had to turn off all email notifications like this... in 3.4 I am pushing the stress on smtp calls and getting timeout errors as we fill the queue.. with a few million hits per month and most of it being forum traffic my inbox has been working harder than a one legged man in an ass kickin contest.

Hi Mark,

You make me juggle

The ability to disable certain types of email's will be available within the next release. The moderators will also have the option to disable email's if the forums are very busy. I hope this helps I really must thank Mark and Drew again for the continued support and feedback. Your comments are valuable and always seem to make it onto the revision list for the next release
