1. How do you send PM's, I can see an Inbox and a Sent Items page but can't find where to actually send one!

2. Can date formats be change to UK format by the user? I presume they can by the admin.

3. How far is the Snitz 3.4 to IF script from completion

cheers

Hi David,

Thank you for your post. I've answered your questions below. Should you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

1. You can send private messages by clicking the username. This will sometimes display a dropdownmenu and other times take you to the members profile page. Either way options to send a private message are available. When you receive a private message you will be notified via email and taken to your inbox from the email link.

2. This is really down to the regional settings on the SQL Server at the moment however we are looking at ways to changes this based on the admin preference. I'll keep you posted

3. This should begin development this week. A 3.2 script is already available so this should not take long

I'll certainly keep you posted. I hope this helps. I post more information here once we have any progress on these items

All the very best,

Kindest Regards,

Thanks,

Has any testing been done using MSDE as the database, in particular, a high amount of active users online at once. Or is anyone actually using MSDE to host IF that I could have a look at?

Hi David,

Thanks for your email. I've provided below a link to view an install that is currently using MSDE to drive the forums. This user used the tools at www.msdebiz.com to setup and install the forums. With regards to high amounts of users with MSDE as your probably aware MSDE can only cope within around 20 connections at anyone time. I suspect you will run into problems on high volume installs using MSDE. I hope this helps a little

Thanks, i'm currently running Snitz 3.4 and MSDE and it slows down with 70+ active users, under that it seems fine. What is the forum written in, C#/VB?

Also, could you send me a test PM, I want to see how it works and I can't send myself one
