Hi,

Is it possible to have external links (which are inside articles) viewed in new windows instead as now in the same window?

Kind regards,

Dennis

Hi Dennis,

This is certainly possible. You will need to find the link within the HTML view and simply add a target=_blank to the ahref tag.

We do have script within the forum which forces all external links to open within a new window maybe this should be something we implement for the v1.3 of the knowledge base also ?

Would providing the option of where to load the hyperlink be preferable ? I look forward to your response

I'll pipe in...for InstantKB...I would prefer that external links open in a new window. For those of us that have wrapped InstantKB in an IFRAME within our site...having external links open within our own site looks quite odd. Having this as an option would be a great addition.
