Unfortunately installation prerequisite instructions do not appear until after one has attempted to install the product.. I am receiving a failed to connect to server error during my install. I am running MSDE 2000a on Server 2003 with IIS6. The MSDE is using windows authority to authenticate. The sa account does not have a blank password. My MSDE sql is running fine. I see in the readme and user group’s bits about giving permissions to network service account and the db but no specific instructions on how to do that? Do you have these instructions on available? Thanks for any leads. Dana

Dear Dana, When you installed the software, did you run the script on MSDE manually or via the setup? Could you check the value of the key InstantKB_ConnectionString in the InstantKB.config file to see if it matches the connection string you use to connect to the database?
