Today (v1.3) a person needs to be an admin user to post articles and hence can see ALL other articles in the KB (via the admin interface) irrespective of their roles as a "normal" user. A future version should - integrate normal user and admin user authentication (single sign-on)
- integrate user logon with Active Directory (as an option)
- limit admin users to only see/edit articles they have access to (rather than everything).
Cheers, Barry.

Hi Barry, Thanks for the great feedback. An integrated admin and regular user login system is in the works for the a future version. Active Directory integration will be a part of InstantForum 4.0, and the same functionality will be added to InstantKB shortly thereafter. We have made note of the fact that admins see all articles and are considering changing that functionality for the next release. Thanks and best wishes, Alex

| Dear Brian, At the moment, that functionality is not supported. However, this is at the top of our priority list and will most certainly be included in the next version of KB, which is currently in development. A specific release date has not yet been defined, but we should have our initial release candidates ready for testing in the next few weeks.

| That is great news. I will look foward to the next release with AD support and will hold off implementing a Knowledge Base until I take a look at the next release. Thank you for the quick response.
