Hello, I have purchased both your Forums, and KB software, and I’m very pleased with them. The forums are full of features, and were easy setup on my 2k3 Server.

We will be deploying this on a community site (written in asp.net), which requires a login to enter. Is it possible to have users of this site be automatically logged into the Forums? What has to be modified to do so?

Kindest Regards,

-Dave

Hi Dave,

This topic should get you a long way : http://support.instantasp.co.uk/shwmessage.aspx?ForumID=34&MessageID=2113

IF obviously has its own tables, for it's registered users.  However: you can call the same SQL Stored procedures, that IF uses to create the users, if you would like to create the users, within your own code.

I believe logging in, is currently done with session variables.. although version 4.0 will use forms authentication.

Dear ubiquitas,

The problem was that the link led to an article that was limited to members of the Customers group. I have added you to the Customers group. You should be able to view the article now.

I would like access as well.  I purchased a developer license less than an hour ago, and this was my first question.
