Hi,

First of all congratulation for the product it is excellent.

However, I am using it in my school and would like to give private access to around 100 staff members. I can create the accounts with my administrator account but the user will

  • not received any confirmation when the account is created
  • not have the possibility to change his/her password
  • don't have a linked forget my password

Basically, all of this is implemt in the forum but not in the knowledge base. Would it be implemented in the next version and when will it be available.

Obviously, these features are extremely important and prevent me to fully used the knowledge base at a large scale

Many thanks in advance

Nicolas

Hi,

If your running your KB through SQL (MSDE or Full) then you could use a Trigger to e-mail the username and password to the appropriate person if the username matches their e-mail address or first part eg richard.young or richard.young@prior-analytics.com

Let bit of work on yourside but could be done.

However, I'd also like to see users able to generate their own accounts and a manage subscribers options so that I can see all that have requested access and place them into the user groups (eg internal, web, etc).

Regards,

Richard.

Hi all,

I am forwarding your message to our development department for consideration for inclusion in the functionality of a later version.  Thank you very much for your suggestion and please do contact me with any further ideas that come to mind.
