Ryan,

I went to delete a post I had made (a post, NOT a topic).  When I clicked on the actual delete button, it told me I couldn't do it.  But when I checked the check box for the post and selected delete from the drop down box it worked.  Now I'm assuming this is because I can't delete my own posts as a user, but I can delete posts as a moderator.

You've done a good jobs with making things granular, but things like this either need to be changed to check both permission sets or they need to be documented vary plainly and in multiple places or its going to get very confusing and you'll have this forum filled with "How do I ...?" posts.

Hi Jimmy,

This was a problem with obtaining the forum identity within the delete post method. As the forum identity could not be obtained it failed to create a moderator object based on your user identity and missing forum identity. This prevented the moderator permissions from kicking in when you click the normal delete post button. This should now be resolved.

Many thanks Jimmy. Moderator permissions do apply to the normal buttons. They will always override your permission set permissions. For example if your a moderator of a forum but your current permission set will not allow you to edit posts, as a moderator you can edit & delete posts using either the edit & delete buttons or moderator options. The behaviour you experienced and permission denied error i believe relates to the bug above. Hope this makes sense

As always your suggestion are greatly appreciated. This is on the list for review
