1. The ability to post announcements to all forums at one time. Even better, have the option to post the announcements in certain forums and not others or all at once. 2. Announcements / Pinned Posts should be made from within the admin section. 3. When creating an announcement / pinned post have a check box that you can select before submitting. 3. Have the possibility of having announcements expire (but still be viewable in the admin CP so that you can use it latter if you need ot by changing the date. 4. Calender :-) 5. When adding something to the calendar, have the option of having a post made in a forum linking to the day in the calendar. Also the link on the calendar would link to the post in the forum with more detail. 6. Ability to see new posts since last visit. This has been mentioned before. 7. Private Messaging. 8. Items out of profile listed under signature at the bottom for quick access: www icq msn aol search, etc. The search function would search for posts by that particular user. 9. Link at top of page that has been previously visited by you that will take you to the last post you viewed. This is handy with a topic with lots of reply's. You don't have to remember what page and post you viewed last. I guess that is enough for the moment :-) Any suggestions or criticisms are more than welcome. Have a great day! Tracy Phillips

Wow Thanks Tracy I hope to get nearly every item suggestion you mentioned in place within the forums but as you can imagine some will take time. Thank you for the list - i've copied this into my forums wish-list. If anybody else has any suggestions i would be more than happy to receive them. Not sure when the next release will be as i'm currently working on the next version of the knowledge base product. Once this is released i'll look into your suggestions for IF.NET 2.2 and get them implemented as quickly as possible Thanks for the feedback Tracy - greatly appreciated

Hi there, Before i get started, when signing up, the 'email' field wouldn't allow enough characters to include my whole work email address. i've had to use my personal email instead. minor nuisance. Quick question, can forum members post up documents for others to download and discuss? I've done a search, but i couldn't find confirmation. Cheers Colin

Hi Colin, Thank you for your post. I'd be very interested to view the email address the registration page would not allow. Can you send this to support@instantasp.co.uk ? - I will look into this problem right away. Regarding article attachments this is not currently possible. I'm working on v2.2 at the moment which includes enhanced control over the filetypes permitted during upload. Now this validation is in place message attachments will be permitted within forum posts. This will allow you to upload documents within thread to discuss or share. I'll post more information here once 2.2 is available Hope this helps - please don't hesitate to keep posting the suggestions - each and every suggestion is noted and will be reviewed during updates
