A lot of members of our site use the PM feature to keep track of various "clubs" within the site. I've received numerous requests for the ability to create groups so all members can just send a PM to the group instead of each individual member. Each group would have an owner, and permissions would be to allow anyone else to edit the group members, and allow others to see the group. Thanks S

I hadn't thought of that application, but it definately a good one.
Along similar lines, as well as the normal permission set groups could we have Joinable/User groups that users can join without an Admin?- User groups - joining automatic (e.g. Interest areas, forum groups)
- User groups - joining only after approval by group owners/admin (e.g. clubs) - moderation style
Associated with the User group could be an icon (16x16) - Appears next to/under username
- Maximum number displayed configurable by admin, so if a user is part of many groups it will only show the most important ones (ordered/chosen by user)
- With break out popup showing full set
- Also shown on profile page
Then to make this feature very useful add: - When posting to the calender add another entry; like roles, so the user can choose the groups the event is for
- Allow a filter on the calender by group available to user (so you can see only club events, forum events etc.)
- Default show all available
- Filter posts by group (pick out admin posts, club posts etc.)
- Sort order for groups in drop down (like for Forums)
- PM to approval required groups only, so you can be kicked for abuse and they would be smaller (e.g. clubs etc.)
I think these would be some really good features Cheers Jeremy
