Unfortunately, I discussed this with my boss yesterday and he said that we can't allow remote access to the server.
Is there anything I can look into on the server for you?
A. Mulroy
I'm poking around the Internet looking for some sort of resolution to my problem. I figure it has to be the way this server is configured.
I found this article: http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles/IIS_Security_Enhancements.html
So I checked the Web Service Extensions on the server. To my amateur eyes things look ok, but I'm attaching a screen shot so you can have a look.
Ok, here's something else I found...

"I have a new Win2003 Server with IIS6 set up. I'm not sure in Windows creates this account or IIS6 does, but IIS6 defaults to using the account “NT Authority/Network Service“ as it's main security account. You can actually change this if you want. In the Application Pool you see in IIS, you have an option to change the identity of the main security account for IIS. There are 3 defaults or you can select your own account."
So, I decided to check this on our server...
