InstantForum Question

Hi David,

Yes. You can add your links to the Explore Menu within InstantForum.

You will need to modify the master page to do this. I've included some steps to assist below :)

1. Open your Skins MasterPage.Master file within Visual Studio / NotePad.
2. Locate the following mark-up...

<div class="explore_smMenu" id="explore_smMenu">
  <div class="col" id="explore1_smMenu">
   <ul id="explore">
   <li class="title">Explore</li>
   <li class="seperator"></li>
   <li><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypExploreHome" Runat="server"/></li>
   <li><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypRecentPosts2" Text="SimpleMenu_ViewRecentPosts" Runat="server"/></li>
   <li><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypPopularPosts2" Text="SimpleMenu_ViewPopularPosts" Runat="server"/></li>
   <li data-mobile="false"><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypTopMembers" runat="server"/></li>
   <li data-mobile="true"><InstantASP:LinkButton id="butModerators" runat="Server"/> </li>
   <li data-mobile="false"><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypWhosOn" runat="server"/></li>
   <li data-mobile="true"><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypTags" runat="server"/></li>
   <li data-mobile="true"><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypSearch" runat="server"><div class="nav-a-bg"></div>[0]</InstantASP:HyperLink></li>
   </ul>
  </div>
  <div class="seperator">
   <div class="col" id="explore2_smMenu">
   <InstantForumWebControls:ForumJump id="ctlForumJump" runat="server"/>
   </div>
  </div>
  </div>

Add your link as highlighted below...

<div class="explore_smMenu" id="explore_smMenu">
  <div class="col" id="explore1_smMenu">
   <ul id="explore">
   <li class="title">Explore</li>
   <li class="seperator"></li>
   <li><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypExploreHome" Runat="server"/></li>
   <li><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypRecentPosts2" Text="SimpleMenu_ViewRecentPosts" Runat="server"/></li>
   <li><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypPopularPosts2" Text="SimpleMenu_ViewPopularPosts" Runat="server"/></li>
   <li data-mobile="false"><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypTopMembers" runat="server"/></li>
   <li data-mobile="true"><InstantASP:LinkButton id="butModerators" runat="Server"/> </li>
   <li data-mobile="false"><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypWhosOn" runat="server"/></li>
   <li data-mobile="true"><a href="google.com">Google</a></li>
   <li data-mobile="true"><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypTags" runat="server"/></li>
   <li data-mobile="true"><InstantASP:HyperLink id="hypSearch" runat="server"><div class="nav-a-bg"></div>[0]</InstantASP:HyperLink></li>
   </ul>
  </div>
  <div class="seperator">
   <div class="col" id="explore2_smMenu">
   <InstantForumWebControls:ForumJump id="ctlForumJump" runat="server"/>
   </div>
  </div>
  </div>

Save the MasterPage.master file and you should see the Google.com link appear within your Explore Menu.

I hope this helps guide you in the right direction David :)
